Hoodoo's Crescent Lake Resort

We had a great campsite that was big enough for my 10'X24' tent setup. Site was about a 1/4 mile from the lake. Watercraft rentals were reasonable. I'm definitely camping here again!

Reserved for three nights, come home after two because I hadn’t been told that the restaurant/bar/Lodge was closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, when I was staying, and I’d only rented a studio (comes just with small fridge and coffee maker) so there was no place to sit and eat, drink, or get wifi. I did like the way all the cabins were cited with at least some view of the beautiful lake. There were families that set up tents on the beach and people out in canoes and kayaks that looked fun though. It looked like kids were having a blast. Why would a summer resort close their lodge three days a week?! It’s nuts. They should say so on the website so people can make plans accordingly… like renting one of the cabins with a kitchen!

I was told I was getting a free upgrade to larger cabin and then overcharged. I discussed this with the receptionist a couple hours after we arrived and she agreed with and noted the error and let me know it would be fixed. The next day I checked back in and was told it was still going to be taken care of. I rechecked again the day of checkout and was told it would be fixed but manager wasn’t available. I called a week after I left as I still hadn’t heard anything and ultimately was told that I was in the wrong and they never agreed to an upgrade. I asked to talk with someone higher up and 2 weeks later still haven’t heard anything despite several calls. I believe they are just avoiding my calls at this point. |I would never have moved cabins had I known they were charging the stand

This is a large group of cabins on Crescent Lake, a few miles off Hwy 58. Very quiet, lovely views of the stars, lake, and mountains, swimming beach, good restaurant open lunch/dinner Thursday-Sunday. Internet is only available in the restaurant, although the cabin has satellite TV. Our cabin (Little Lava), though is in real need of maintenance. The floor is severely slanted, the doors are very far out of the frame, most windows either don't open, or don't have screens, and there was a shortage of electrical outlets. I realize this is a "rustic" resort, but for what I paid, I expected the cabin to be in better condition.

All of the staff are so Welcoming! I'm already planning a return trip. And the son who is jack of all trades opened up early so I could get some decalf coffee. I'm praying for his parents who lost there house in a fire. Thankyou all for a clean well Maintained room, and great hospitality. 10 out of 10 High fives!!
