Honomu Inn

We really enjoyed our time here. The rooms were quiet and peaceful and made it easy to get a great night's sleep. Having the kitchen area full of utensils, plates/bowls, coffee pour over, tea kettle, and snacks in the fridge made it really enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

This place is excellent in every way. Beautiful decor in the rooms and public space behind an old shopfront. Rooms super comfortable. In a very pretty old village. Generous breakfast ingredients and facilities. Close to Akaka Falls. The only drawback is no evening restaurant in the village. But it’s not far from Hilo and we brought our own salads. Great value.

Extremely nice staff and really the perfect getaway. There is amazing food on the same street at Aloha General. The beds are comfy and the rooms are really nicely decorated. Would highly recommend staying here rather than in proper Hilo town

Shared communal kitchen big cause for ROACHES 🪳‼️ Save yourself and stay in Hilo just 20 minutes away. Negative service as well. Didn’t see a single staff member the entire weekend stay. Rooms are super inconvenient too no counter space.

We stayed at this cute country inn for a total of 4 nights and enjoyed our time. The inn, including our room, was very clean and welcoming. The communal kitchen to eat and store our perishable items was well stocked and clean. Our room was comfortable, offered basic toiletries, and had AC. The inn is situated in the country side of Hawaii and is within walking distance to a local General Store and local cafes in Honomu. The inn is also very close to the beautiful Akaka Falls! For more food options, particularly in the evening, you will need to drive to Hilo.
