Homewood Suites by Hilton Orange New Haven

My stay was ok, I do think more customer friendly greeting at check in would be nice, and maybe a time limit in pool area for small children, my husband and I were in the hot tub around 9pm and was bombarded by small children around 6 and 7 in the hot tub with floaties. Not really relaxing, but the 2 women at breakfast were super nice and sweet. I probably wouldn't book on weekends if looking for relaxation...definitely a little pricey per night as well

Room was really spacious and homey, with 2 queen beds, a kitchenette with large fridge/freezer, stove, sink, dishwasher, and full size closet & drawers for our clothing. Beds were very comfy, which is a huge MUST for me. Breakfast was simple, but delicious (eggs, tortillas to make tacos, fruit, cereal, baked goods, coffee). Location was great, we could drive to Yale Uni in 15 min or so where our activities were held. Staff were pleasant. Would stay here again!

We loved our stay at this hotel! Jalyse at the front desk was very kind and helpful at check-in. Our room was clean and spacious, the beds and pillows were very comfy. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool, and all of the public spaces throughout the hotel were spotless and decorated for the holidays. At breakfast the wonderful hostess assisted us in getting dairy free milk for a family member with dietary restrictions. We stayed in Winter and it was icy and cold outside, so we didn't enjoy the outdoor amenities, but the grills, outdoor seating, and basketball court looked like fun if it was warmer weather.

Positive: We’ve stayed here several times now. The hotel the rooms are always super clean, they have free breakfast which is actually solid, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Negative: I wish the beds were softer or that they had mattress toppers on hand.

I usually always stay in these rooms for mini stay cations. I booked last minute and had to end up paying about $650 for a night. I was fine with it because like I said I’ve always found this hotel pleasant. How ever the security guard/ maintenance man that is fairly new in the hotel gave me such a hassle. My night ended abruptly as my children and I were in the pool. He stormed into the pool area demanding that everyone had a bracelet to access the pool area. (There was a family in the pool for about 2 hrs with no bracelet) but once my family entered there was an issue. Once he realized that all of the people in the pool area weren’t with me he personally went and got the yt family bracelets and told me that me and my family had to leave.
