Homewood Suites by Hilton Ft. Worth-North at Fossil Creek

I had a very disappointing experience at this Homewood Suites due to the poor condition of the hotel, though the staff were exceptional. Cleanliness/Pests: Our room was dirty and we found roaches. There were also maintenance issues like open ceiling tiles. This is unacceptable for a Hilton brand. Breakfast: The breakfast was very basic. It was so underwhelming that we had to leave and go to a local Waffle House, which was not comfortable for my small children. Overall: I truly felt trapped and would have checked out immediately if I could have avoided a penalty and better in the area were more higher prices due to local events happening in the area this past weekend. I’m an honors member and have stayed in many Hilton hotels and this one by far was the most disappointing. Besides the lady on night shift, Kristy I think, the staff was either clueless or rude. I had 2 very alive roaches in the bathroom. When I went to the front about it the guy didn’t know what to do. It seemed he wanted me to fix it or needed someone else to decide. He asked if I wanted a different room, which obviously I did. I did get to move rooms at 1am but didn’t get the refund I requested. I guess it wasn’t entered that we were placed in the new room either, because at 9am the cleaning staff tried to enter; thankfully we had the extra lock on. Overall, the place wasn’t very clean and again, just a disappointment.

Do not stay here! This hotel has hot water issues. On my first day, I checked in and saw a sign saying water would be intermittent due to renovations. There was no hot water on my first day, so I talked to the front desk on day 2 and checked multiple times throughout the day to take a shower. They told me to go back to my room and check again because the manager had just checked a nearby room. I checked and still had no hot water. I also noticed water leak repairs near the shower, so I assumed it was related. To make matters worse, when I picked up the phone to call the front desk about the issue, bugs crawled out. I checked out and booked a room across the street at the Home2 Suites. When I called the Homewood property to check out and explain why (and the bugs), the manager only said, “S

Positive: Location Negative: The hotel is old and needs remodeling. There was a water leak in our room and they sent maintenance to fix it. They painted over the ceiling but the leak was still there all three days we stayed. Branded as Hilton but bought out and doesn’t qualify imo.

Honestly I was nervous about staying here after reading the reviews. Glad I stayed. Everything was clean. The reviews about the cheapest bidder for the remodel aren’t too far off. The tv mount in the living room was broken so the tv was crooked. That’s the only complaint I can think of. Very helpful staff and pretty good breakfast. Would stay here again
