Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston-Billerica/Bedford/Burlington

I honestly don't leave reviews often but I needed to after this. I had such high hopes staying at this hotel for my daughters dance competition. We were excited about the free breakfast since were a family of 4 so that is always a bonus when choosing a hotel. There was only watery scrambled eggs, soggy potato wedges, hard pancakes and chicken sausage. There was also bagels and toast but no toaster which I thought was weird because how can you have toast without a toaster. 🤷🏼‍♀️ They were out of coffee by 7:30 and breakfast started at 7. There were muffins but they were also hard. There was also no ice in the entire place, which when you came for a dance competition you need ice for some cold water. I have also never seen a hotel with no ice machine. Our room also had a broken bathroom door

The overall impression upon entering is that the hotel is well worn as evidenced by the furniture and carpeting. The positives are that the staff seemed friendly and the free breakfast was OK. However our two bed suite at the back of the hotel had several very significant problems. Most importantly, the room had ROACHES! (we saw three scampering in broad daylight) Also, the toilet would not stop trickling and self flushed all night.Toilet bowl had a dark stain from constantly running (this was obviously not a new problem). The floor in the kitchen has a 1/4 inch gap along the wall that is full of crumbs and other debris (no wonder there are roaches). The sofa has a tear and the chairs in the kitchen area are heavily soiled. We also noticed the odor a marijuana in the hall outside our room.

Fourth time we stayed here. This time we found a huge drop off in service and quality. 1. No additional blankets available as “Housekeeping off duty” and no staff allowed to have access to blankets. 2. Toilet broken for entire 2 days and never fixed after repeated complaints. 3. Bed frames broken, leaving sharp steel brackets extending out from bed. Caused bloody gash on my leg. 4. All breakfast food gone by 8:40 am on second day even though advertised to be served til 10 am. 5. Took 30 minutes for desk to calculate bill at checkout. When I listed all these problems I was not offered any compensation or apology, and was told I couldn’t speak with a manager as none of them worked on weekends.

This is by far the filthiest and most disturbing hotel I have ever stayed in. The stairwell contained a portable toilet and a condom wrapper, which immediately raised serious concerns about sanitation and the lack of basic maintenance. Inside the room, the air filters clearly have not been changed in a long time. You can see visible dust and mold buildup on the wall, which is completely unacceptable. The outside environment was just as concerning. When I returned from getting food, there was a man on the side of the building who appeared to be severely under the influence of drugs. In addition, people were drinking and smoking right at the entrances to the building. The atmosphere felt unsafe and extremely poorly managed.
