Homestead Inn Motel

We stayed here while visiting in town. We had our usually room. Room was clean. Basic room, has a small television, microwave, small table to eat, one or two beds, bathroom with tub/shower, sink area. Some things to be looked into. The sink was very slow to drain, it would back up when barely running any water. Also wifi was non existence on this trip, unsure why, have stayed before in room and was able to get it before. It needs to be fixed or upgraded. Beds range between soft to very hard depending on room. Ours were firm, but not as hard as some of the other rooms.

My wife and I stayed here a few years ago, and found it clean, convent, and the staff were friendly and courteous. Fast forward to current day, and I found the service sub-standard. The rooms may still be clean, but I'll never know, because I won't stay here unless there's a change in ownership/management. After calling 3-4 times to inquire about availability and rates, I finally got a return call. The lady who called back was rude and argumentative. Basically, the rates are based on how many people are staying in the room. So for two people, I was told it was about $89 + tax. That's fine, but when I asked what's the difference in 1or 2 people staying, she got argumentative, and couldn't give me a reason. Personally, I found her demeanor off-putting, so I will take my business elsewhere.

The room was clean and staff very nice, despite the rooms are not renovated the price is worth it, so I recommend it.

I will forever recommend this place! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were big and clean. Mini fridge and microwave were both clean. It is in a great location just minutes from gas, food, and things to do. The views are beautiful. Each room gets their own key instead of a key card. We looked forever for a clean, reliable hotel near Smokehole and this was the best! Can’t wait to go back and stay again!

A great experience staying a night here. I stayed there two years ago and still think about the views from this little motel. Such a comfy, country feel. Very clean. Loved it. I'm glad places like this still exist in the world. Even down to the old-style TV.
