Homegate Inn and Suites

Hello, we stayed here one night the third week of October 2025. The gal at checkin, Jessica was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. We were on the first floor. It is an older hotel, the sheets and comforter had stains on them, they looked laundered but stained. The bathroom tub faucet was in need of repair and no water pressure, also got lots of water on the bathroom floor. It clearly needs some attention. The sink was cracked and poorly repaired. We did hear trains all night long and didn't realize that the track was right across the street(would have been nice to know). The next morning we went down at 8:25am and there was no food left. I asked the desk clerk who acted as if he didn't understand english but said oh yea, there's only 10 minutes left. I checked my time and it was 8:30a

Wanted to stay here, but it had a bad vibe. on check-in. The front desk was arguing with a guest who wanted a refund & was refusing saying "you've been there for several hours already." Not sure why they wanted the refund, but the service seemed sub-par, the "lobby" seemed weirdly inhospitable, and there was a Hampton one parking lot away, so we went here & are satisfied. Clean room, welcoming lobby, we'll lit parking, friendly enough check in. Sounds like its dog friendly too.

This place is a dump! If you want to rent by the hour you’ll be right at home. Filthy, dingy, outdated. I have never gotten a room this bad. Try and get your money refunded from Expedia? Forget it. This place must pay them big money to advertise them. Don’t believe me? Book this place and try. You won’t want to stay here. Hampton Inn right next door.

The room we stayed in was gross. Looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks if not months. The hotels rooms themselves are quite dated. The stairs landing we walked up to get to the room seemed like it was unstable. There was a huge stack of disgusting mattresses piled behind the building. Overall I would say avoid this place unless you are absolutely desperate. They definitely need to make some improvements to this hotel.

Room was clean, nice firm mattress on metal platform, no sign of insects of any sort in the room. Free breakfast was adequate, they had my favorite waffle maker or self service. Dorm size refrigerator in room was great, microwave was nice, linens and pillows were perfect. Hotel is older and a bit rough but the price I paid was appropriate. I would stay here on my next trip.
