Hollywood Stars Inn

I came in with low expectations and ended up having a better experience than anticipated. The stay was smooth, and Mike at the front desk was especially welcoming. He checked me in efficiently, was very friendly, and showed real customer care. In a city where hospitality can feel rushed or indifferent, his service was refreshing.

Very stinky, not well ventilated. The bed is mediocre but the blankets are of low quality. The bathroom is poor, with absolutely terrible water pressure.I think the staff do their best to clean and take care of the rooms but the facility is too old and out of date. The only positive is the location. There is Target and Ralph’s nearby. Bus stops are very close and getting to landmarks is relatively convenient.Considering the price, I would rather choose a hostel at 1/4 the price.

This hotel is in a good location if you are fit and mobile. Attractions are quite spread out in LA of course but this is in walking distance of the Hollywood walk of fame. ||One block away is Norms Diner, decent food that won't break the bank, this was very handy and there is a 7/11, Walgreens and a target very nearby. You can also get the train just around the corner to head towards Union Station, North Hollywood and Universal Studios. You can also head down to Santa Monica BLVD in about 10 minutes to catch buses to West Hollywood and Santa Monica Pier. ||The hotel met our expectations for a budget establishment, you can't expect 5* for the prices this place charges right by Hollywood. ||What really spoiled this stay for us however was construction work going on outside at 7am every day.

I stayed at Hollywood Star Inn for two nights and my experience was overall OK. The hotel is very well located — probably one of the best areas for tourists who want to stay close to the main attractions. There’s on-site parking, and I was able to keep my car there both days without any problem. The guy at the front desk was polite and explained everything clearly when we checked in. The room and bathroom were clean, although the bed linens looked a bit old. If you’re looking for a five-star hotel, this is not the place for you — but it’s a fairly priced, safe, 2 star option that gets the job done. At night, there was a security guard walking around the property who was a bit rude, but it wasn’t a big deal. The area does have some homeless people around (as in many places in California),

Checked in here for one night. Positive: central location, easy check-in on site, and free parking in the courtyard. Negative: not clean, lots of hair and dirt left behind by previous guests. And very noisy inside the hotel—only wooden floors, so you can hear noise from other rooms all night long and it's almost impossible to sleep. Overall, a rather poor place to stay and not to be recommended, even for one night. Also very strange: a few hours before check-in, we received an email about online check-in. That sounded good at first, because we didn't know when we would arrive. However, this service was supposed to cost over $50 extra. Why?
