Holiday Inn Resort Daytona Beach Oceanfront by IHG

Stayed in a sea view room at Holiday Inn Resort Daytona Beach and it truly gave me a relaxing and peaceful feeling. Waking up and seeing the ocean right outside the balcony was amazing — the sound of the waves and the open view instantly helped me slow down and unwind. The atmosphere here makes you forget about stress and just enjoy the moment. Sitting by the balcony, looking at the sky and ocean felt like a mini reset for both mind and body. Free parking was a big plus and made the stay very convenient, especially for travelers driving like me. The only downside was the $35 resort fee, which I wish was included upfront — but overall the experience was still very enjoyable. Cat at the bar/restaurant was so friendly and accommodating!! She greeted us with a smile every time we came in and even went the extra mile to go the back to get our soda because the one at the bar wasn't properly working even though she was busy! It's people like her that make want to return in the future!! It's so nice to encounter someone so nice and literally makes you feel like we have been life long friends!! I'll definitely return again because of her!! Thank you Cat for spreading the love!! You have an amazing heart! Definitely need more people like you in this world!!!!!

Overall, our stay at this Holiday Inn was average. The location is definitely a highlight, sitting right on the main road in Daytona Beach with easy access to the ocean. The pool area and main public spaces were very clean and well maintained, which we appreciated. The rooms, however, could use some updating. The furniture showed noticeable wear and tear, giving the room a dated feel. Internet access was also a major frustration. We tried multiple times to connect but were unable to get reliable service during our stay. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were greeted with smiles several times, including at the front desk, which made the atmosphere pleasant. One drawback is the resort fee. In our opinion, the fee was not worth it based on the amenities offered,

1-Star Review – Unsafe Conditions and Poor Communication I had a very disappointing and unsettling experience at this hotel. During my stay, I discovered what appeared to be a bed bug in my room and immediately reported it to the front desk with photo evidence. I was moved to another room that evening, but no notes or documentation were made on my account about the incident. The following morning, when I called to check out and escalated my concerns, I learned that the staff on duty had no awareness of what had happened and no record that any issue had been reported. This lack of communication was extremely frustrating and concerning, especially given the nature of the complaint. It also raises the question of what prevents the hotel from simply renting the same room out again without pr
