Holiday Inn Express Vernon - Manchester by IHG

This is one of my favorite hotels when I'm on tour! The staff is so friendly and nice, the hotel is located close to everything and it's clean and quiet...great for some rest and relaxation. My room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The indoor pool is a great bonus and they have one of the best hot breakfasts of any hotel with so many food choices, freshly ground coffee and make your own pancakes, not waffles. When you are in the Vernon/Rockville area, this is the hotel to book. I HIGHLY recommend it!

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at, and I've stayed at many. I was here for three days this time. Service was friendly and efficient. Everything about the place was spotlessly clean. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and you wouldn't believe the variety. There is something for every possible taste. Housekeeping kept everything sparkling and fresh. Even the fitness center was immaculately maintained and stocked. Everywhere you turn, there is another little touch to make your stay more comfortable.

Positive: The breakfast included and hours served is a top reason as well as location to who I visit when in Conn. Negative: Just a little dated but very clean, all staff are great from check in, cleaning staff & the nice lady who goes the extra mile preparing breakfast and keeping it stocked

For clarity for future guests, the cancellation terms shown on my reservation stated free cancellation until 6:00pm on January 11, rather than being clearly described as a “5-day cancellation policy.” I understand that I missed that deadline when I attempted to cancel on January 13, and I am not disputing that the policy was enforced. My concern was the conflicting explanations provided during the process — initially being told the fee was controlled by Hotels.com, and later being told it was a property decision — which made it difficult to get a clear, consistent answer. I hope this helps future guests better understand the importance of reviewing cancellation terms closely and knowing where discretion lies. Orig

My 75-year old father was coming from New York to see his grandson for Grandparents Day at his school. Since the grandparents day was at 9am, I booked a room at this hotel so he would have somewhere to stay overnight before the event. Apparently the weather wasn’t great up in Albany , so he made a decision to not to drive to CT. the night before and arrive the day of instead. I called the hotel to refund the room because we no longer needed it, was told by the front desk the person he had to ask a manager, who was on a conference call and I would be notified by email when the refund happened. About 3 hours later, I called back because I never received an email, the front desk person said the manager denied my request. I asked to speak to the manager to see if there were any other options l
