Holiday Inn Express Van Nuys by IHG

We had to go to to Santa Monica and Burbank. It is right off the 405 Fwy so nice to be able to hop on and off. Much cheaper than Santa Monica. That said room was nice looking but less drawer space ( only 2 drawers) water stream is low for faucet and shower. The new girl at the front desk was very nice. And she said the homeless know from the security guard that the property is off limits. They now have a fence so now they charge $12 a day to park. It is already mostly closed in by cement walls anyway but that make it more secure. So safety seems fine. But I wouldn't be walking around the surrounding area late at night. I have stayed at this hotel in Van Nuys CA many times this year and the friendly atmosphere, front desk is aways so helpful and friendly, Farannak she does such an amazing job to help everyone to have a stress free experience, |Rooms are well keep and clean, everyone is amazing at there job,|Everyone when you go say I to |Farannak for me, 😁😁

Positive: Clean, friendly staff. Negative: There was a buzz in my room that was coming from somewhere. I don't know where. It bothered me at first but then I got used to it and then it became white noise so in the end it was fine. I was able to sleep.

The hotel was comfortable, modern, and quiet and reasonably priced for the area. I would have given it five stars but I took off a star because they called me a month later asking them to fill out a survey which was weird and intrusive. I'm used to getting those survey requests by email but as someone who does not usually answer it is obnoxious to get a phone call

First off..... the room and hotel were nice and the staff was pleasant. Just know before you stay, that the hotel is not in a great area. I travel every week for work and you don't always know about the areas you are traveling to. There is nothing around the hotel (walking distance) except a Dennys and a diner inside a car dealership and you have to cross a very busy street to get to it. The worst part..... and no, not the hotel's fault, I was woken up just after midnight by someone in the next room trying to open the adjoining room doors, and he was putting a lot of effort into it. They were still up at 6am when I had to leave and they were still up and violently arguing at noon when I returned. I stayed one night of a seven night reservation and checked out. Yes....
