Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wharton, an IHG Hotel

I like holiday inn express a lot. This was the same in the good way about the rooms, the hotel, the breakfast, etc But the thing that was different were 2 things. They didn't have key cards, I dont know why, so or you have to put your door open or the people from the hotel have to open for you. And thr other, the lady from the front desk (a redhead) was very serious and when it was 11 am they knocked on our door to ask us if we are leaving i told her yes so 2 minutes later one lady enter to clean. She was very ashamed that we were still there and ask us sorry, she told us that the redhead lady told her to start cleaning I maybe will continue going to holiday inn but not this one anymore.

This hotel experience began with a friendly and helpful reception at the front desk. The check-in process was fast and efficient, and our room was ready for us when we arrived. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The amenities were more than adequate, with good wi-fi, and a nice TV. The beds were comfortable and everyone rested well. The breakfast was excellent and included fresh fruit as well as hot pancakes with a good cup of coffee.

My family converged on this hotel in order to celebrate the life of our loved one and everything was spectacular. The room were spacious and tidy. Front desk staff pleasant and accommodating. I really appreciate a worry free stay during such a difficult time.

Stayed in Wharton on 1/5/26. I waited at the front desk for almost 10 minutes before the lady showed up. I heard the phone ringing off the hook 2 different times. No sign saying anything like “I’ll be right back “. When the lady finally showed there wasn’t a hello or anything. All she said was I need your id and credit card. Didn’t thank me for being a diamond member, she didn’t ask if i wanted my points or drink. Didn’t say anything about breakfast or wifi. Also in the shower I had the water as hot as it would get and it was a little over warm. Absolutely the worst customer service. Talk with the couple that came in right behind me and they said she treated them the same way.

Dear Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Holiday Inn in Wharton, TX. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Room 213 did not have a shower curtain, which forced me to shower in my father’s room (215). Additionally, the water pressure was extremely low, barely functioning. To make matters worse, the bathroom exhaust fans in both rooms were not working. These issues caused significant inconvenience and discomfort during our stay and are unacceptable for a hotel of this brand. Due to the poor conditions, I would rate this stay zero stars.
