Holiday Inn Express & Suites Swansea by IHG

Positive: The staff was exceptional. Particularly the maids who more than met our expectations. Negative: The location is a long slow drive from the Newport mansions.However the very reasonable price made that acceptable.

Clean and basic room. No digital check in available and was placed on the first floor near the ice machine and maintenance closet, resulting in a noisy experience. I would recommend not placing guests on the first floor if you can help it. Breakfast was good with good variety but no ripe bananas.

I had a great experience at this Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was cozy, and everything felt fresh and tidy. Staff were friendly and efficient. For the price, it’s an excellent value—comfortable accommodations without breaking the bank. I’d definitely stay here again.

Never stay here! The location of this hotel was ideal for where we needed to be for the weekend. Upon checking in everything went smooth. Then the next morning I went to take a shower and the water ran brown for about 2-3 minutes. I asked the front desk if they could switch our room. She told me it was just the pipes and it would run clear. I explained to her that I understood but that I wouldn’t feel clean showering with that water and would really prefer to switch my room. I’ve stayed here before and this hasn’t been an issue until now. She denied my request and told me that they were sold out. This was a lie because online they have rooms available. Additionally, the woman at the front desk told me the brown water I was supposed to shower with was a non issue when I asked if she herself

I didn't like my stay at this hotel at all. The bedding is all wrinkled and smells bad, like it hasn't been changed at all. Everything is old and worn out. It looks shabby. The staff doesn't care about anything. And this is a 4-star hotel? I would give it 2 stars at most, and that's too much.
