Holiday Inn Express & Suites Stillwater - University Area by IHG

I travel for work and stay in a lot of hotels and this is one of the better Holiday Inns you will find. You can tell it is a well-managed property. The staff is always very professional and friendly, the rooms are always clean and the breakfast is as good as it gets for a hotel buffet style breakfast. The location is great, away from the busier parts of town but close enough to get to anything you would need in 10 minutes or less. This is where I will stay every time I am in Stillwater.

Positive: Within town. Restaurants are within walking distance. Free breakfast was nice. Always included sausage/bacon, potatoes, eggs or cheese omelets, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, oatmeal, cold cereal and hot coffee. Negative: Room was a bit muggy and the air conditioner would not go below 68 degrees. The air conditioner was a bit loud.

I would never recommend staying at this hotel. We were here for a Memorial stock show with 525 participants and tried to block off 20 rooms for people who were participating in this event when participants called to book a room. They were told that there were no rooms available when we called to check on that they still had 20 rooms reserved just in my son‘s name. He tried to explain to them that the rooms were blocked for anyone participating in the show that they should let those people book a room at the price quoted. I believe you missed out on quite a few reservations due to this. The main reason I would like to give you a zero rating is because no one had hot water to take a shower. I am very pleased with our experience here. Very friendly staff, stay was relaxing and slept well. Breakfast for a hotel was 10/10. I stay at hotels often most the time foods dried out not real appealing to the eye. This breakfast was cooked just right moist eggs, just right sausage gravy for biscuits! Please keep this standard I’ll be back! Oh and the coffee machine perfect bonus!

My stay was during an ice storm and bitter cold temperatures. My colleague and I had to complete a work assignment at the hotel as we could not travel to our site. The front desk agent Stephen did a great job under tough circumstances to make sure we could work in their conference room and very kindly brought us water bottles to make sure we stayed hydrated. Stephen was so accommodating throughout the stay.||Dinner there was just OK. I ate Flatbread that wasn't great bit had very tasty cheese baked to perfection, which was good enough for the rotten conditions outside. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of meats and eggs, cereals, yogurt, and oatmeal, though their bread selection could have been a bit more varied.
