Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salem by IHG

Had a great experience staying here. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and so welcoming. Lobby was clean and looked fancy. Room was spectacular. Beds were comfy and pillows were like clouds. The breakfast had so many options and everything was delicious. Would recommend people to stay here anyday.

Stayed here for almost 2 consecutive weeks, never bothered to change sheets or put in fresh towels. Every night my guys had to go down to front desk to get them. I had 2 rooms for 10-12 days. The answer to not accommodating us was they were all booked and their laundry lady didn’t work all week. For being a platinum member and staying at holiday inns all across the mid west, this was by far my worst experience.

Because of a snowstorm that arrived earlier than we expected, we decided to stop in Salem and get a room at 9:30 am. There were several other travelers that had the same idea, yet Jocelyn at the front desk was professional, friendly and smiling at each of us as she worked to book us in available rooms. I was so grateful to her for accommodating our unique requirements, all while smiling! The world could use a few more Jocelyns!

We had a great stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast had many options and all tasted great. Pool was open and very nice, a little on the small side, but still very nice. Convenient location with gas stations and food options right next door. Our room was very nice, all the amenities you need were provided, although the fridge didn't get as cold as it should. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows weren't the best, but definitely not the worst either. Bathroom was nice with Dove products provided, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand soap. Would have liked a better shower head that gave better water pressure, but it was nice overall. Very happy with our stay.

The first night was fine. No noise slept well. The second night had kids jumping up and down above us sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling 🙃 Room service never cleaned our room. No fresh towels. My wife went to the front desk and told the girl working,she said your kidding me and said well...I don't have her phone number. She will probably be back to clean your room? Never seen her.The girl said just sit your trash in the hallway, we did for hours.I told the wife that we look like trash.So she took it down the hall and put it in a trash can! The water pressure for the shower was terrible 😫 and lost hot water! Cold shower! If I go back to that area we will most likely look elsewhere. It was a bummer!
