Holiday Inn Express & Suites Plainview by IHG

This weekend I booked a reservation for a double suite room at one of your hotels in Plainview Texas. I don’t even know where to begin on how disappointed and dissatisfied I was with the experience. I typically book through Priceline, not sure if that’s where everything went wrong or it was the hotel personnel. But right away everything was off, I will provide pictures of what was wrong but I will start off saying the room that was given to us was not a double suite room it was a king suit. Leaving my son sleeping on the floor during our stay. I attempted multiple times to have the room changed and the staff refused and only provided us with bedding to put on the floor for him. This is a very clean and welcoming hotel. The rooms were clean and cozy and the coffee and breakfast was good. Most of all, Norma at the front desk was very friendly, professional and welcoming. She and the cleaning staff were all friendly and welcoming and they provided the best customer service! This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a hotel in Plainview, TX.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel, and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel is a very dated and in need of another renovation. The heat and air unit had been partially pulled out of the wall on one side, allowing the cold north wind to blow in. The heater ran all night and never warmed up. The mattress was worn out and very uncomfortable. The bathroom needed attention. There was no soap or shampoo in the containers. The towels were scratchy. The back side of the door hadn't been wiped down in a while. If the housekeepers and management were doing their jobs, this would not be happening. We didn't even get a complimentary water. The room was noisy. The elevator is old and jerky. The front desk man working the evening shift was super nice! Unfortunately, due to all the issues, we will not be back.
