Holiday Inn Express & Suites

This may not be a high-priced hotel, but offers a lot of value. The room was spacious, clean and well-maintained (good attention to detail). The furniture was comfortable and functional (a well-lighted and decent-sized desk), the mattress just about right--the pillows a bit soft--but the comfort was there. |The breakfast area is one of the nicer ones with a good assortment of offerings. The coffee is fresh-ground, brew on demand--a bit slow, but pretty decent coffee. |The pools are interesting. There is a lap pool--good for just that--which is in a separate room from the hot tub and what is a small, kid-friendly water park. We enjoyed our time in the hot tub watching a young family playing. Positive: Staff was great. Room was clean. Breakfast was top notch Negative: I know a lot of people use the pool/water park but the water was very dirty. For only being 3 feet deep, it reeked of chlorine (which just means it's dirty) and I couldn't even see my feet through the water.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. We went to celebrate my 6 year olds birthday. He had a blast, as did our 1.5 year old. The small fish slide was perfect for her. Breakfast was good, hot and very well stocked for how busy the breakfast room was. The staff was very attentive to making sure everything was well organized and cleaned for each guest. The location is very nice and only 20 min from downtown, which made it a fun day of exploring the beaches in the snow! The only real concern i had as a parent was the water in the shower - it wouldn’t stay warm so we would turn it up and it was good for a few minutes and then would get scolding hot. Other than that, everything was great with our room & very clean! We can’t wait to return!!

I read a lot of sketchy reviews of hotels in Erie, so we decided to go outside the city a little bit and we are glad we did. We were very happy with this hotel. The room was spacious and VERY clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast bar was delicious and had a wide variety of food (I need one of those magic pancake machines for my house!). The dining room was large, clean and well maintained. Parking was convenient and safe, and the hotel is convenient to the highway. We didn't use the pool but it looks like a lot of fun for kids. We would definitely stay here again.

The food was great and warm, plenty of selection. The rooms are clean, adjustable air temp on unit, and modern updated rooms. The location is also not far and is convenient within reasonable distance from stores and restaurants. There is also a small store they have from freshen up items to snack food and energy drinks. They do offer forgotten items that are complimentary. Shallow pool with water slide with hot tub and also a deeper pool in another room!
