Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nashville North - Springfield by IHG

My boyfriend and I travel quite a bit, and this was truly one of the cleanest hotels we’ve stayed at. The property was spotless, well maintained, and very comfortable. Breakfast was great, and the breakfast attendant was especially kind, respectful, and welcoming. We also really enjoyed the indoor pool , it was crystal clear and such a nice reprieve during the winter months. The only downside to our stay was our check-in experience with the front desk agent, Danielle. We only know her name because we heard another staff member say it, as she was not wearing a name tag. She seemed to be having a rough day and came across as rude with a bit of a smart attitude, which was disappointing. However, every other staff member we interacted with was very nice and accommodating. Overall, we would

Positive: The staff and breakfast was exceptional. The guy responsible for breakfast was the best. Keep everything clean and fresh. Negative: The mattress in room 322 was worn out. It was like sleeping in a hole. We ended up leaving a day earlier than expected.

Our family (3 rooms) stayed one night in late Dec. The thermostat in one room did not work so we were promptly moved to another room nearby. The other rooms were fine. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. Breakfast was good, but sadly, the pancake machine was not working - disappointing for the grandkids. Erica, the lady in charge of the breakfast area that am was great - making sure the area was clean, replenishing food as needed, and being very pleasant to everyone. We had a nice stay.

Good breakfast in the morning at the hotel makes my stay 10 times better. Was at this location last month and it was a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and professional. One of the owners was also at the location, and he made sure I was well taken care of. Quick and seamless check-in process and the room was clean & ready. They gave me the room with a decent view. The gym was sufficient for a quick workout and the coffee machine is new for a to-go coffee. Took a dip in the swimming pool after the workout. The pool is one of the cleanest I have seen at a hotel in a long time. The small store area had my favorite beers as well, so I didn't have to go out at night to grab a beer. I was too tired anyways. I travel for work; cleanliness and security are the most important factors to me. With IHG/Holiday Express the rooms are typically clean and modern, and breakfast is great. This location had a great breakfast spread, the room was modern with lots of space to place belongings, and the bed was comfortable. Overall a good stay and decent for the price, but I would note two complaints: 1) upon check-in the room was stifling due to the temp being set to 77 on HEAT but thankfully it cooled down quickly and 2) the room could have been cleaner. I always bring my own sanitizing wipes for a quick clean upon check-in but there were some stains on the floor, scuffs on the walls, hair in the bathroom and what looked to be animal hair in one of the two queen beds.
