Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mount Arlington-Rockaway Area by IHG

The web site says renovated. It was more a refresh. It is clean. But a renovation is the replacing of old and worn items or refinishing to look good. The bathroom door had rough bubble like finish that was just painted over. There is a repeatedly broken saddle between room and bathroom, broken light fixtures in the dining area, chipped paint on molding and chipped enamel in tub, outlets that did not work and others that barely kept the plug in and a loose floor tile right at the tub which can be a hazard. None of those items really upset me but were absolutely noticeable. However, when I woke up and tried to take a shower using some hot water and it did not come out, that was a problem. I had a tight timeline so I did not have time to ask for a room change. I notified the desk who said t

We were on a family adventure of my home town, I booked this hotel direct because the reservation center would not accommodate us. We had 10 folks and the front desk Milan got us rooms next to each other with no problem, breakfast is continental style but I’m a English muffin with butter and jelly with coffee kind of girl so I was happy. The staff was amazing especially when we forgot our keys in the room. Very kind staff treated all of us like family. We had a great time. Thank you all.

Be careful dealing with the manager and receiving unauthorized charges. The hot tub malfunctioned and was spraying at the walls and not inside the tub. It was very strange and the tub was only half full at that time. The on button does not allow it to be turned off. The room ended up flooding due to all the water. The manager is blaming us say, we dont know how to use it.Rediculous. Now he put 1,000 on our credit card expecting us to pay the damages. I dont know what caused the failure, and he says he could not duplicate it, However, it was not our fault.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and had a pleasant experience overall. The rooms are spacious and clean, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help, adding a warm and welcoming touch throughout the visit. The breakfast was good with a nice variety of options to start the day.
