Courtyard by Marriott Rockaway-Mt. Arlington

We had a wonderful experience with this hotel and booking our wedding room block. Kathryn and her entire staff were great to work with. Detail-oriented, responsive, and accommodating throughout the process. The rooms were lovely and the included breakfast was tasty, which left our guests happy with their stays. After our wedding, we had our after party at the hotel bar and it was the perfect way to end the night. We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel experience for our wedding weekend.

Pros: Our room was located on the far end of the hall away from elevators, was fairly quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Despite the hotel being at capacity we were able to find parking day/night. |Cons: The room could use some TLC - the tub had rust spots, shower faucet was not secured to the wall and seemed like it was putting wear/tear on the exposed pipe, tub was incredibly slippery, mini fridge was leaking onto the carpet, and room could use a thorough cleaning to remove dog hairs from previous guest.

We stayed overnight for a family wedding, and had a very nice time. We were able to check in early, which was super helpful so we could get ready and have enough time to get to the venue without rushing. The room was well-appointed and very clean, and the beds are very comfortable! The bathrooms are old and in need of updating, but still very clean. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not free, but there is an abundance of hot food that is replenished regularly and really good, hot coffee. The seating for breakfast and the hotel bar is comfortable and inviting.

I recently hosted a large off-site meeting with accommodations for all attendees at this hotel, as well as an on-site welcome reception. The experience was exceptional. The hotel made the room-blocking process seamless, and the welcome reception was executed beautifully. The food was excellent, with a diverse selection of appetizers. Guest rooms were spotless, and the staff was consistently courteous, responsive, and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easily accessible for travelers. I highly recommend this property to anyone considering accommodations in the area. A special thank you to Cassandra for her outstanding support—she played a key role in making our event a success.

Well kept premises, although slightly aging room furnishing. It was disappointing that the same-day dry cleaning service has been suspended, a necessity I count on and plan for when on lightly packed business travel. The staff was friendly. Location is very practical.
