Holiday Inn Express & Suites Madison by IHG

Gross gross gross! I don’t know who would rate this place as clean. It’s VERY dirty from the moment you walk in the door to see the dirty brown matted crust on the tops of the lounge furniture to the disgusting elevators with trash that was there at check in and check out. Now let’s talk the rooms, maybe I got a bad one, maybe the reviews noting clean rooms are from someone with much lower expectations? I’ll just let the few photos I took speak for themselves. Assuming the kitchen is just as nasty, there is zero chance I’m eating ANYTHING from the breakfast bar. All I could think about at night was if there were bed bugs that I would take home. I know that’s probably not the case but when cleanliness is skipped, so are things like pest control. Positives? Sure… staff is very friendly and

Breakfast had great variety. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I lost my Apple Watch and could not figure out where I left it. I got a call that house keeping found my watch and they offered to ship it too me if I was not still in town. I was able to go back and pick it up. Thank you for being so honest as that says so much about your employees and the example management sets.

I enjoyed our stay here. Just a few miles from downtown riverfront. Breakfast was great and they had extra options many other HIE do not have. The girl who checked us in was so nice and made sure to check preferences when assigning our room. Even though I am really not that picky but appreciated it. I can’t remember her name though just her pretty red hair. Bed was comfy, hotel is clean, pool area is nice and clean- everything was great!

Enjoyed our stay- Property was clean, updated and had friendly staff. Breakfast was great with eggs, sausage, pancakes, baked goods, cereal. Staff was highly attentive to ensuring everything was stocked and clean at breakfast. Had a nice workout gym with bench, free weights, treadmill available. We didn’t use the pool but looked nice! Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because at night we heard constant door slamming. Not sure if it was just other people entering/leaving their rooms but it was loud. (We looked in hallway and no one was around so thinking it may have been the rooms on floor below us).

I really enjoy receptionist Hazel. She greets me by first name and a smile. Parth does a great job with breakfast and room cleaning. Thank you so much!!
