Holiday Inn Express & Suites Los Angeles Downtown West by IHG

Thank you AIDA! My Mom and I had excellent customer service at this Holiday Inn! Aida and the team provided us a warm welcome, personalized service, and helpful introduction to the hotel's amenities. There's a free breakfast bar with egg whites, eggs, oatmeal, breakfast potatoes, waffles, and more! I spotted a juice bar and coffee stations. Coffee is available around the clock, even after the buffet closes! Shoutout out to Holiday Inn, the coffee was hot and delicious. If you're looking for dinner or lunch, there's a small snack nook near the front desk with microwaveable meals and cold drinks. The nook also has Tylenol and some other items you've might've forgotten at home. We took a couple laps around the hotel and noticed ice machines, a pool, and gym. I felt safe, however we heard sc

I stayed here before going to a venue in L.A. This is a good value. Unlike a lot of hotels, they actually have a microwave in their rooms! Their Keurig works well, they have coffee in the lobby, my room was very quiet, the room was spacious, the free breakfast was good. The workout room although small, had a very good elliptical machine. The front desk found an available room for me 2 hours before I was scheduled to check in. I really appreciated this. I do wish they would offer a couple of different beers in their refrigerator. Overall, a very nice stay.

The staff at this place is great and there is nothing wrong with the hotel itself it’s centrally located to get around Los Angeles. The concern is all the homeless and drug abuse that is around the area. I would just suggest having a security guard at the entrance at all times. We did have a homeless woman make her way inside for breakfast and help herself to coffee. Hotel staff did try and get her out, but she was very persistent. Honestly if I was alone I would have cared that much but I was with my wife and child and the concern was for them. Probably would stay again if I’m traveling alone.

It’s a great find in downtown L.A. that included free parking and breakfast. I arrived late the first night and most of the parking spots were taken. All the other nights were easy to find parking. The front desk staff was friendly when I checked in. They greeted us every time we leave the hotel or return to it. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was decent. Overall, it was a great deal. I would stay here agin if we’re in town.

We were surprised at how challenged the neighborhood around this excellent hotel has become - but like other big cities we have lived in and visited, being near downtown means navigating a lot of homeless people and the deep sadness that we've allowed to happen. The hotel is excellent, and well-located. We thought the staff was cheerful, efficient and just excellent. We never felt unsafe, even with a lot of noise and activity very close by.
