Holiday Inn Express & Suites Harriman by IHG

Our car broke down on a 7 hours trip kind of in the middle of nowhere in TN (2 adults with 4 small children). We booked a room last minute at a Holiday Inn and showed up at the Harriman location... turned out it was the not the location we booked! The rate at the Harriman hotel was higher but we had no way to get to the location we booked at, due to car issues. Dedra, the front desk attendant, was so kind, generous, and helpful. She gave us a very generous rate, helped me cancel the wrong reservation and was so calm and caring throughout the chaos. She helped me stay calm. Dedra is amazing and went above and beyond for us! So thankful for her!!!!

The view from the front of the hotel is very nice in the morning with clouds drifting over the mountains. There is a railroad track across the road down below and we could hear the train whistle a few times in our room. Temperature controls worked well, the bed was comfortable and the room was nicely arranged. Breakfast was available early and had good options with eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, pastries and such. There was an automated pancake machine that was fast and fun to watch.

A good stopping point after a late UT game when headed West. Hotel needs a refresh top to bottom, quiet even though it’s so close to I-40. Hotel was fully booked and never heard another guest. Employees, especially Cherry, extremely helpful and very friendly. Didn’t stay for breakfast. Bed was comfortable and bedding wasn’t dated.

We stayed here last night from California. The rooms are very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the staff were so nice. Allen checked us in and Allen was the most helpful and caring person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I thought I lost my wallet in the parking lot and Allen was outside looking for me with a flashlight. Thank you Allen for making our night great. (Wallet was found in my room.)

First off , the view from outside, the hotel is in the perfect spot. Being able to be somewhat in the mountains is amazing. My husband and I stayed here with our family and friends, as we got married this past weekend. We felt that the hotel staff was like family because they interacted with us. Wanting pictures from our wedding and just sharing different places to make sure we check out before leaving. The breakfast is great. Our room along with the hotel in general was very clean. I would say a nice thing too is that if you don’t want your room clean one day, they still will leave you a fresh new set of towels hanging on your door. Thanks again, Allyson & Skip Riddle
