Holiday Inn Express & Suites Greensboro - Lake Oconee by IHG

Very clean and well maintained. Front desk person when checking in could use some personality coaching. Only negative was the breakfast. Typical HIE breakfast, it started at 7 AM, we got there at 7:10 and most EVERYTHING was wiped out by a 6 person contracting crew. It was 7:30 before hot items started coming back out. Not completely within their control, but a bit better anticipation would help.

I had a great stay at this new hotel on Lake Oconee! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms were exceptionally clean, and the entire facility is smoke-free, which I really appreciated. I also loved that they use Dove products—such a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I’ll definitely stay here again!

New motel. Several good food choices near the property. Friendly staff. Clean well lighted room. It was overall a very good stay. Would definitely stay again. The only small negative is the bathroom door would not stay open it always closes. This causes the bathroom to become too warm if using a hairdryer. I prefer the option of choosing an opened door or a closed door.

I would not recommend this hotel. I canceled one night of my stay, and their system clearly malfunctioned during the cancellation process. I was given a cancellation number, which I have provided multiple times. I also contacted the corporate office, and they confirmed that the hotel should issue the refund. Despite this, the hotel has refused to do so. On top of the refund issue, the room itself was not clean or comfortable, which made the situation even more frustrating. Now I’m stuck spending time going back and forth trying to resolve something that should have been handled properly from the start. Poor communication, poor customer service, and an unwillingness to correct an obvious error. I would definitely not stay here again or recommend it to others.
