Holiday Inn Express & Suites Galesburg by IHG

Great location with grocery and fast food walking distance. The staff is very friendly and professional, welcoming. The rooms are spacious and clean, good mattress and pillows. Had a few issues with the split system getting the room temp regulated but could be user error. Towels and bedding are clean. Bathroom is nice, shower starting to show age with missing/discolored caulking. Pool and gym are nice. Breakfast is good, like the new coffee machines. No coffee maker in room but you can request one.

Room was clean and it looked like it was fairly new. The ambient lighting in the room is a nice touch. All the staff at the front desk and in the breakfast area were kind and pleasant. They had cookies in the lobby at check in and coffee at all hours. Husband said that the gym was pretty nice. The breakfast was well staffed and well stocked. The only issue during our stay is that we were on the first floor close to the pool, so the noise of people passing by at night as well as footsteps early in the morning from the floor above kept me from sleeping well. But I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Galesburg especially if we could have chosen a higher floor.

Very clean room. Breakfast had a great variety of fresh items. Staff very friendly. Excellent experience. We will always come here in the future vs other hotels in area. A but pricier than others but you get what you pay for. Will have future family gatherings here

This is probably the nicest of the national-brand hotels in the 'Burg these days. I was in town for a college alumni event and stayed at this property for the night. Everything in the hotel is still relatively new and it all works, at least as far as I could tell. The one employee I interacted with was very pleasant, courteous and helpful. The room was basic but nice and decently sized. I bypassed their breakfast so I can't comment on its' quality.

Like coming here so much that I am now a Diamond Member. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The breakfast and the rolls are a big reason I come here besides the staff.
