Holiday Inn Express & Suites Frankenmuth by IHG

We stayed one night February 13, 2026 and checked in around 5:00 PM & went up to our room to drop our stuff off and went out sightseeing. We did not look over the room or anything as we wanted to get out and sightsee. We got back to the room around 8-9:00 PM and watched some tv and went to sleep. We got up the next morning & husband took a shower and the water went out all over the floor in the bathroom out into the hallway of our room. We had to use all of our towels we had to clean up all of the water. Also On the bathroom floor were toenail clipping’s by the sink and on the carpet it was never even vacuumed. there was debri all over the carpeting along with a pill that I found on the floor. Upon checking out, I found a scarf on the floor at the end of the TV stand from a previous guest.

This was our first visit to this hotel. It is an average holiday inn. We were in room 214 it was very spacious with two Queen beds and a pull out sofa,frig, microwave,small table and chairs with a sink by microwave. Beds are comfy. You could here the traffic go by at night but I’m use to that. Only thing was around 5:30 am you could hear people in the other rooms talking plus of course there was people leaving their room and not trying to make sure their door slammed. I get up early during the week so that is my normal time anyways but I would like to at least sleep in just a bit longer than that. That was my only peeve about the hotel. Quiet time is posted till 7am

Great hotel they helped us get a new room since the upstairs neighbors where so loud and they wouldn't stop for hours and the manager had to tell them to quiet down or they will get kicked out . Seriously if you have children actually be a parent and listen to the quiet time hours and make your children not be so loud and stomp like crazy .overall the new room is such more quiet and we are happy.the rooms are clean and well taken care of . They dont have a hotub at all but they have a gym and a pool

Positive: The location to downtown was very convenient. Negative: We had a two-day reservation; however, after the first night, we were called home to tend to a pet situation by our veterinarian. The hotel was unwilling to refund our second night's fee. Also, we were covered with bedbug bites upon returning home.

To say our rooms were dirty and in disrepair would be an understatement. The pictures speak for themselves. Dirty bandaids, moldy walls, cracked paint, mystery stains and splashes on the walls and doors…also, it’s LOUD. The floors shake when people walk by your room. The pool was decent, breakfast was ok. The pool towels are hardly bigger than a hand towel, and you only get two full size towels per room. We got 4 towels for a group of 7. I’ve stayed in other holiday inn express locations that were in better condition with better amenities. I did appreciate the complimentary late check out we were able to get, but the dirty room ruined it for us. Won’t be back, and I was pretty disappointed in what $350 got me.
