Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Worth Downtown by IHG

This property is a little tired. Elevators are slow and the rooms could use some updating...BUT... the staff here more than makes up for those shortcomings. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in my 55+ years on the planet and this may be the best staff I've ever encountered at any price. They were kind, observant, professional, accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. I will also say that the breakfast here is in my top 3 ever for "breakfast included." Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, fruit, sweet rolls, cereal, juice, coffee. This was the real deal. You will not go hungry. I will stay here again when in town. It's a good value. Thank you to all the staff.

Positive: Everything in the hotel was very nice, Negative: $30 to park at the hotel should have been disclosed when booking. The parking fee should have been included in the room price.

Husband & I were traveling & decided last minute to extend our stay in town. Booked & found Hyllary at the front desk.. She was amazing from check in to check out! She helped make our stay fab!!!

I originally planned to stay here for 6 nights but due to the winter storm, ended up with only 2 nights here. They were very accomodating and the staff was great. The managers checked on my stay while I was enjoying breakfast multiple times as different ones came through. The breakfast bar had all the standard staples that makes the hotel stay pleasant compared to either no breakfast offered or barely a continental breakfast. Who doesn't like pressing a button and watching a pancake cook on a conveyer belt? The room I had was pretty nice. The lesser star is that it is located a bit further away from downtown so food locations are a little further away.

This Ft. Worth Holiday Inn sits directly across the street from a historic Masonic Lodge. Attached enjoy some photos of said Lodge AND one photo of some colored foam core triangles which would fall into the "Hotel Art" category. Every single hotel employee I encountered was respectful, courteous and friendly. I was able to negotiate a lower price for the last fashionable straw hat they had for sale on the shelf between the Hostress Donuts and the Five Hour Energy Drinks. Photo of hat attached. That "Open" door sign was a lie, but it was late on a Thursday. I asked where the $5 Medicine was, because I was hoping for something new to make me feel better but bought the hat instead.
