Holiday Inn Express San Clemente N – Beach Area by IHG

My wife and I came here to stay in Dan Clemente to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. From beginning to the end, everything at this hotel was extremely nice. Everything in the room is clean and very organized and everything down in and around the hotel and especially the front desk staff were amazing and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and filling and 24/7 coffee was a plus. We're planning to come again here with our family just to stay in the area again for a weekend trip.

It was nice and clean. Building overall was somewhat dated. My BIGGEST problem was locating it. It is on a hill above a minimall with very poor signs indicating how to navigate. Google maps tells you to make a right, and you end up in the Inn and Out drive thru line. Lol. I would have waited for a burger, but it was a very long line. I finally found some unlit signs that directed me. The lobby is also unmarked and difficult to distinguish (there is no pull in area.) Once you get there, it is surprising nice for the price point and location. Pay the extra for the upstairs room. Excellent conference room with high ceilings.

Came here for a weekend getaway for my wife's birthday. Chose this place because of the reviews and perceived value. Things we liked: easy parking, nice location ( just off I5), great breakfast, clean/comfortable rooms, and Patrick at the front desk was very helpful. Things we didn't like: no restaurant/bar, just a little cubicle with snacks for sale, but they do have coffee, juice, and water available throughout the day. There are things beyond the control of the staff - people above you walking around like a herd of elephants all night long; young mothers with toddlers in the room next to yours that cry and scream constantly. We dealt with both of these issues during our stay, and Patrick gave us a room on the 3rd floor away from all the chaos. Overall it is a nice, clean, affordable hot

Incredibly beautiful, especially for the price. We stayed at Marriott's Mission Inn last time and this Holiday Inn Express was nicer and less pretentious. The balcony was a nice surprise, the free breakfast buffet was more than passable, the room was immaculate, and the staff was super nice (the desk boy even remembered my name when passing by me randomly)

I enjoyed my stay here, wish it would have been for more than one night after sleeping in the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Very clean. The only downfall was the tight, tight parking spots and the $15 parking fee. It was hard to find a parking spot at night.
