Holiday Inn Express Las Vegas-Nellis, an IHG Hotel

I stayed here overnight while visiting Nellis Air Force Base.||The good: The king-size bed was excellent — very comfortable — and I appreciated the high shower head in the bathroom. The room was clean and orderly but showing its age. I slept well, which is always a plus. It's location is just a few minutes from the front gate of Nellis Air Force Base.||The not-so-good: Overall, I was very disappointed, especially considering the premium price - Over $161 dollars that included a $9 dollar trip protection plan. Some of the issues were beyond the staff’s control, but worth noting for future guests. ||Upon checking in, I was surprised when a $100 hold was placed on my credit card for “incidentals,” which I was told would not be refunded for 7–14 business days. Positive: Not crowded Negative: There was a weird smell one you enter, there were a ton of roaches. The rooms were dirty. They charged me 50$ for nothing.

We were in town for the strongman competition and decided to stay an extra night. Found this hotel and they were very accommodating. We have a 100lb Cane Corso and sometimes its hard to find hotels that will take him. These guys were happy to!!! The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The free breakfast buffet had lots of choices. All in all it was a great place to stay. Would definitely come back here.

I recently stayed at your hotel in room 306, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. There was a housekeeping paper with room numbers left on the floor, which I picked up to throw away. Then, near the bed, I stepped on a large amount of hair that had clearly been left behind after vacuuming. It was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. We arrived very tired after a 12-hour drive, and stepping on a clump of hair first thing in the morning was really not the experience we expected. Additionally, the bathroom had visible scratches and there were hairs left in the bathroom as well, which did not meet the cleanliness standards I expect from IHG. Lack of hot water would be my first issue. Cleanliness of the room is next. Then we get to all the other things... My door wouldn't close from either side without extra pressure. No screen on a first floor room. Shower (besides lack of hot water) was half shower half faucet. No one at the front desk unless you ring bell. Breakfast was not great. Only decaf coffee in room. Only one entrance available due to construction. No info on room phones (such as the front desk number). Breakfast bar was sketchy, no fruit or cereal or yogurts... bacon, potatoes, and omelets were the choices of warm food but didnt look edible?
