The hotel staff is absolutely wonderful. Thomas, Lance, and Marcus at the front desk go above and beyond for awesome customer service, A+. The rooms are top notch, perfectly clean and hot water pressure is great. The complimentary breakfast is so tasty with a variety of options! I guarantee there is something everyone in your family will love. The pool is amazing and so clean! Our kids loved the waterpark-style area. It's great for grown ups too! This hotel is within walking distance of Gatlinburg's downtown strip. We made the 1/2 mile walk with 4 kids down to The Village. Perfectly doable, even with multiple strollers and small kids. The Holiday Inn Express Downtown Gatlinburg was, as always, a great stay. They even allowed us a late checkout at noon, just in case we needed it. The room was clean and fresh, and the overall hotel felt well-maintained. Breakfast was the standard fare you’d expect from a hotel, and the clerks were very friendly, offering helpful tips and suggestions about the area.||My only ongoing concern is something I’ve noticed over the past six years: the staff doesn’t seem to consistently review the notes attached to reservations. In previous years, I assumed the notes weren’t transferring properly when reservations were made online. This year, however, I called ahead to confirm and was told the notes had not carried over. I asked the clerk to add a note requesting extra towels, washcloths, and toil

Positive: Great location, walking distance to strip. Modern rooms were clean. Breakfast was nice with many options. Coffee station is always open. Negative: The noise between some parts of the wall and also the doors. I asked for a quiet room away from elevators but I was placed right in the middle of a kid's fun zone and screaming baby. Low water pressure is a common thing to all hotels in that area.

Was this location under a bit of construction, yes. However, that didn't interrupt any of the enjoyment or kindness we experienced. From the front desk gentlemen to the breakfast crew, everyone was pleasant & approachable. The rooms were clean, the pool area was fantastic, the breakfast was varied, hot, & delicious, & the location was convenient to walking the nearby shops. We don't travel much, however the past two nights solidified that, if a cabin isn't on the radar for a Gatlinburg stay, the Holiday Inn Express definitely is an amazing option! We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express Gatlinburg! The hotel was very nice and clean, and the free breakfast was good with plenty of options. The water park was awesome and a huge hit for our family. The only thing that would make this place even better is adding a hot tub. Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely come back!
