Holiday Inn Daytona Beach Lpga Blvd by IHG

The location is great for being just on the other side of the freeway from numerous restaurants and shopping. All the staff were really friendly. The room was clean but the bed.... I woke up one of the many times thinking I had rolled out of bed and landed on the floor to just realize, I was still in the bed. I then contemplated just laying on the floor to see if that would be more comfortable.

I have stayed at this hotel a lot for business. The front desk staff is over the top wonderful. Gayle, when working nights, would always greet me with a smile when I was leaving at 3am for work. Gayle is now working days and I love this because she’s a great people person. Gayle, Emerson, Mimi, and Solangel always make sure I have a wake up call and anything I need to make my stay feel like home. Amazing people. Also Amy from maintenance was so pleasant. Called to the front desk for a maintenance issue she was upstairs in my room taking care of the issue within mins and all with a smile to ease my mind. Great staff, great stay!!! Would stay here time and time again!!!

Desk staff was excellent! This hotel is not that old but it looks like nothing has been replaced as needed. Carpet in room had hole down to the concrete the size of my hand. Stained seat cushion didn't match badly faded chair. Probably the worst mattress and pillows of all 15-16 Holiday Inns we've stayed at the last couple of years. Odd shower design with half glass and half curtain but worked fine and water pressure was very good. Housekeeping didn't yet have enough clean bath towels for the day and said we could pick some up at the desk when we returned, which we did no problem. However, even though we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, housekeeping entered the room at least twice while we were gone, once to replace the towels (which we now had double sets of) and again to clean it

I was very disappointed with my stay. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was far below expectations. The carpet had a strong odor and clearly had not been cleaned in some time. The lamp had visible rust, the doors were dirty, and there was noticeable rust and grime in multiple areas (including near the tub and fixtures). The condition of the room felt neglected and unsanitary. For the price paid, I expected a much higher standard of upkeep and hygiene. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made in cleanliness and maintenance.

The lobby looked like it would be a nice place to sleep. Until I got into the room. It was gross. Crusty carpets, rust, mold, hairs on bed and in bathroom. Then the cockroaches came out! I had to pack up my stuff and move rooms. They ensured this was a newly removed room and was clean and bug free. Well it was not clean either. They offered nothing but a “sorry”. I would never stay here again.
