Holiday Inn Club Vacations Oak n' Spruce Resort in the Berkshires, and IHG Hotel

The staff was friendly and helpful. The check-in was easy, the staff told us all about the resort - what and when things happened the we might be interested in. The check out was easy as well - we checked out a day early and all the billing went smoothly. the hotel was clean when we arrived, the only problem was closing the windows the next morning. you just had to figure out how the windows worked. The furniture, bed, and overall comfort of the place was nice. I would have liked to have had bright LED lights in our accommodations. The area around the hotel was beautiful, it was green and lush. there were a few small towns in the area that were fun to visit. Nice to drive around.

Our room was a little grungy rm 553 has something all over the bathroom mirrors that doesnt look like it comes off and made it feel like the bathroom wasnt cleaned. When turning on the bathtub jets there was massive mold that filled up the tube we had to drain it and decided we probably shouldnt use it. The beds also aren't very good. I woke up with extreme lower back pain😫 The pools and arcade room is AWESOME. Pools open late 10pm they had some activities for the kids and we really enjoyed our stay. The movie theater is nice has some really comfy big chairs Other then the issue with the Rooms we enjoyed our stay.

Website clearly states "No Pets" , upon checkin we see several people walking their dogs on the grounds. So much for that policy.I have allergies to dogs and can only hope that a dog was not previously in the unit we rented.Overall clean, but the black mold around the shower head and around the top of the shower in unit 848 was a bit concerning.Was quite surprised when getting hit with a $27.92 charge for "Resort Fees" otherwise known as "Junk Fees" upon check-out.Was not informed of any additional fees upon check-in.Office manager was unmoving on this.This has been reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General.

The front desk and activities staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and mostly comfortable with a lovely view of the brook. We had a blast playing in the game room and mini golf. While we did not use it, the indoor pool and hot tub area was very well kept. Based on the previous reviews, I would think this place must have been remodeled recently as our villa was lovely and the grounds gorgeous! With so many neighboring small towns to explore you can have as much adventure or relaxation as you desire.

We have a time share here. The service is horrible. They will not maintain the rooms. They keep removing chairs and dishes so there are not enough. The building is old and loud as hell. You can hear every footstep. The new rooms and buildings are small to pack in as many people as they can. The club house used to be so quaint and outdoorsy. Now it is commercialized, sterile with an expensive snack shop and arcade. They converted the outdoor fire pit to a laundry room. If it wasn't for the location, we would never be back.
