Hitching Post Motel

I stayed here for a cheap place to crash before going to the cities. ||It was well worth the money. It's not the ritz Carlton but for a clean place to sleep it worked great. The rooms were clean and had a cool vintage look to the place. The beds were great! ||The only complantes I have was it was a little chilly in the room and I could not adjust the heat.||The pillows were not great but I brought my own so was not a big deal but they would of worked I guess.||There was almost no toilet paper when I checked in but they gave me some when I asked. ||All and all it was a great stay and nice and quiet. I would stay there again.

I have enjoyed staying at this Motel. The Manager went out of his way to make my stay great. Even though it is close to the road at night it is quiet. The rooms have a microwave, small refrigerator and coffeemaker. It is lovely here in the changing season. It is a great place to stay for a while or just for a night!

One of the hardest things about traveling with dogs is finding a hotel that will accommodate; especially without breaking the bank. The Hitching Post is a wonderful place to stay. No the rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and spacious. They have a mini-fridge and the price cannot be beat. The entire hotel has a comfy rustic, camp feel. Also, parking is right out front, so if you have a truck full of stuff this is handy. ||We even extended our stay after staying there the first night. This is the perfect place if this you're looking for a mom & pop's friendly type hotel.

This was a last minute trip. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a room that I would occupy for less than 8 hours, and my choices were VERY limited. So here's the Hitching Post, and it has a couple reviews that make it look OK, so I take a chance. I should have known when I opened the door and got slammed with the overwhelming smell of old, musty, yuckiness it wasn't going to be good. It had wifi and a refrigerator - I should be able to handle to smell. Oops, my bad, I didn't get the wifi password and by the time I got there it was past 10pm so I didn't want to wake the proprietors again (first time was for ice) just for that. Let's just put my juice in the fridge - nope, that's not working, so hopefully juice will be OK for a few hours. Let's talk about that ice that I got. A plastic

We were remodeling our home and needed a reasonable rate for 2 weeks. We were very happy with the cleanliness and friendly staff who respect privacy but available 24 hours should you need it.|We rented a room with full size fridge and stovetop. First week of August was very hot and the a/c worked great. I highly recommend if you need something longer term.
