Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Forest Lake, MN

I'm not sure why the maid service never made the bed. I even put the service request sign on the board. I asked the counter girl but she said she was just the night shift girl and she could not answer because didn't know. They did give me towels and take out the trash. Very close to freeway on-ramp. Good location to stores and restaurants.

We had an unexpected change in trip plans and ended up needing a hotel north of Minneapolis. There were not a lot of options with a last minute booking. We booked a room here and I figured how bad could it be. We came in pretty late and I was so thankful we didn’t have to stay longer. Our room was EXTREMELY musty. There was a dehumidifier in it (which was full). We emptied the tank, started it and cranked the air. The dehumidifier was a large unit and it was full in less than 7 hours. The smell lasted the entire time we were there. The sheets on the bed were awful microfiber. The hotel is old, outdated and maintenance is needed BUT it was clean. The cereal was stale. The employees were far from professionally dressed. The young man who checked us in was polite. The two staff in the morning

We loved the hotel and the room. Everyone and everything was just fine. The reason you did not get a 10 is because you charged me for having to check out early. And I gave you 3 days notice I would be checking out early. Plenty of time to rebook that room. My fiance's son had to have his wisdom teeth pulled so we had to go home before we originally planned. I don't believe in penalizing people for taking care of family. It's the most important thing in the world to both of us.

Conveniently located off 35 and the breakfast staff were the highlights. Otherwise a very tired hotel with rude front desk staff. Newer floors but water damage on ceilings. Also attempts to update paint were done, but it was a landlord special with paint on everything attached to walls; nothing taped off. Front desk staff was rude, incompetent and couldn’t care less about guests. Pool out of commission for at least two weeks based on the note on the door but I’d guess more like months since it was last in use based on how little construction materials or tools were in the pool area. Garbage in rooms and another person in our group found drug needles in their room. Definitely never coming back.

I made this reservation several days in advance and chose our usual 2 double beds but when we got there to sign in around 4pm they gave us a key for a single king bed. This is not what I ordered and he knew it but he said all the 2 beds were gone and tried again to get us to accept the king. He called his manager and there was a lot of conversation but finally we were given a key to 2 beds. I felt sorry for the next person coming later but I had put in our request days before. This was our first time at this brand of hotel so we weren't impressed but the next hotel (same brand, Houghton MI) for 3 nights was excellent so will probably give this another try and chalk this experience up to a single hotel with a problem. The breakfasts were nice at both hotels and the shower head was wonder
