Historic Brown Hotel

This stay was special. Maybe I’m bias because my family is from town and I always heard about the hotel but had never stayed in it. The critiques from the other comments are true, but I thought it was pretty charming to feel like I was truly staying in someone’s home. I liked the seating area at the top and the coffee! The girl who checked us was kind, shoutout to her! I’ll stay again next time! Oh, I also liked that pets were allowed and so was occasional barking! Thanks 🤗

-Rooms are not very clean -Their children live in the same areas where the guests sleep -The owners dogs bark at every little thing, I can’t even go down the stairs without getting barked at by 3 dogs -Both the upstairs and downstairs lobbies are VERY dusty, doesn’t seem to be getting cleaned as often as it should be -There is no front desk worker to take new guests, if you want service you have to ring a doorbell but even then when you ring the doorbell no one comes -When there is someone there to help guests it’s a 12 year old girl which in the state of New Mexico is illegal to do even if the place is family run the state of New Mexico legal working age starts at 14, but even then there are restrictions -The owners aren’t very respectful towards guests who are having an issue with things

Comfortable beds, clean rooms and good wifi. What more could you want?
