HILLTOP RV PARK

A real gem if you’re traveling through Fort Stockton, TX; located a mile or two west of town on a slight rise that allows you to see it and a great sunset at the same time, albeit in opposite directions. The place is hard to miss with all the flags - very patriotic folks run the place - as well as some great metal yard art! It has a couple of really unique features for a relatively small park, including 2 dog parks that were fairly we’ll maintained, a medium sized building with pretty decent workout equipment, a smaller building open-sided that had a large screen TV, a foosball table and a pool table, some large outdoor games (including a giant chess set), and a swimming pool. Note, the pool is unheated, so good to pass on that in winter! Bathrooms each have a shower and are good size.

This is a nice park, you can tell alot of love was put into it and it was made to accommodate families. There are alot of Polaroid opportunities throughout park. Even though we liked it, age of park is showing, but you can tell it's being taken care of as best as possible. The lady upfront was nice, there was even a little gift bag when I checked in. I liked the State flags on the side, but it's time to replace. The dog runs are nice and the little walking path. The bathrooms and fitness center are okay. There are bunch of RV parks nearby so, if you book this one, make sure you see US Flag from I-10. Also, Fort Stockton, is a pretty good stop driving on I10, especially if kids are in tow. There is a historic district to help break a long drive. The two places we had food were really good.

Some RV parks just try harder. And this is one of them. While Hilltop may be a mom-and-pop park, it is thoughtfully outfitted with terrific amenities, such as outdoor gathering spaces with fire pits and seating, as well as a magnificent walking trail that I call the “Avenue of State Flags,” where your heart can’t help but swell with state and American pride. If you’re in a big rig like us, one of the XL sites on the back row is where you want to be. While Fort Stockton may be an overnight stop on your way to somewhere else, this RV park is where you’ll want to call “home” for the evening. Be prepared to be surprised…there’s more to this park than initially meets the eye!

If you appreciate a safe, clean, with huge spaces and super easy on/off interstate rv park then make plans to visit Hilltop RV park in Ft. Stockton! We were so pleasantly surprised at how thoughtfully laid out this park was designed. We stopped for an overnight on a long trip, had a great pull thru spot that was perfect for our needs. Our pup enjoyed the safe exercise pathway that runs the entire perimeter of the park. The pathway has awesome lighting at dark for when you need to exercise both your own and your 4 legged friend after a long drive. 2 dog parks as well. Love the giant flag, love the state flags and the overall vibe of this park! Saved in my list for another visit when our travels bring us thru town. Don't consider another rv spot, this is it. We only stayed one night, but would love to come back and stay longer. A great, well run facility with lots of amenities. Outdoor TV covered patio area, fitness room, shuffleboard and pool table area, 2 bathroom/shower houses, laundry area, outdoor pool, walking trail, and lots of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Oh, and firepits placed at the different activity areas. Pull thru sites with water, electric and sewer. All around great place!
