Highland Guesthouse

A wonderful experience. We were fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the whole house to ourselves. The hostess had a large variety of items available for breakfast. We love antiques, so enjoyed the decor.

The experience was disappointing. There was no host on sight, breakfast was commercial pastries and frozen egg sandwiches. It was more of a Vrbo or airbnb shared with strangers. Not a real bed and breakfast experience.

Such a beautiful place to stay! Cheaper than a hotel room and just blocks away from the hospital. I didn’t make it there till almost 9 at night and Shane was waiting for me so I could check in. Awesome young man! Rooms were beautiful, very quiet neighborhood. I would recommend anyone to stay here. I might be back even if I don’t have a loved one in the hospital!

We had a great stay at Highland Guesthouse. The property was lovingly restored by Shane and his family. It keeps its historic charm, including original wood floors and details. The rooms and bathrooms are updated with modern conveniences, including free WiFi and a robust AC that kept the bedroom nice and cold. The shower has fantastic water pressure. Our room had a soft-topped bed with firm mattress, memory foam pillows, and extremely clean sheets and bedding. Most importantly, we were completely comfortable and made to feel at home during our stay. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend staying here! Shane was really friendly and helped us with our bags. We’re musicians and had a lot of instruments to bring in over night, so it was very nice to have help carrying everything. The house is lovely. The room was really comfortable, and we slept really well. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks, Shane, for the local soap, candle, and cookies! A highlight is the old player piano!
