High Seas Motel

For the location and price I’ll gladly give this place 5-stars. My husband and I really enjoyed staying here for a week back in July. The staff were very friendly and our neighbors were kind. The room was outdated but we didn’t mind. We’re on vacation and just needed a place to sleep. We weren’t in the room for most of our time there anyways. Tv, bathroom and bed is all we needed. I did like having chairs outside the room. After spending all day out. I got to relax and read outside before heading to bed. This hotel will definitely be our go-to place when visiting Rehoboth.

We booked the High Seas Motel based upon reviews and it’s proximity to the beach and restaurants. We have been coming to Rehoboth Beach for over 20 years and love the town.||We arrived early and the owner checked to see if a room was available. One was, but it was on the 3rd floor. We told her that we would wait for our 2nd floor room and she gave us a parking pass so that we were able to keep our car in the lot.||Our king room was clean, the air conditioning worked, and the bed was very comfortable. This is an older motel that is in excellent condition. Obviously the owners take great pride in its upkeep. We highly recommend the High Seas Motel.

I stayed at the High Seas 8/11-8/13. I don’t feel that I’m high maintenance, but I tend to stay away from motels. My friend made our reservations and she had stayed here before and thought it was great. The location, as mentioned before, is GREAT. Walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We parked our car when we arrived and it didn’t move until we left. Front desk staff on both check in and check out were friendly and made us feel welcome. As others mentioned, the rooms are very dated and in desperate need of a refresh. Overall, great location, great staff, and while dates, the rooms are clean.

The ice machine is amazing! Staff is sweet & the rooms are clean, but furnishings are old & worn-with carpet & curtains that probably date to the Nixon administration. When a toilet seat is peeling, you know that 6000 people sat on it before you. Why would you not replace it? The fridge looks like the ones I saw in college back in 1979, and although plugged in- it did not work. Beds were ok. The AC is cold...hot water pressure is great. Bring your own soap & shampoo- the bars provided are tiny. Tub looked yellow from age. Ashtrays outside every room like it's 1981. Nobody goes to Rehoboth to watch TV, but if you like a TV larger than a computer monitor- you may be disappointed. Also, why would you store two old toilets in the stairwell? Throw them out! Great location! As other reviews stated, the rooms are dated. But would rather stay here then an Econo Lodge. The rooms were clean and it was perfect for a solo get away for a long weekend.
