High Desert Inn

This place is a good value for what you're getting. It's a very DIY hotel space, but we had everything we needed, everything was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We would absolutely come back here again. Of note, the parking lot is a bit tight, so if you have a large truck or trailer, they have parking on the right side of the parking lot (near the dog poopie area). The dog poopie area doesn't have any grass. There is no breakfast. This place gives you just the basics for a good price. We absolutely loved it and will likely stay here again when we drive down for our next southern Utah adventure.

Best value for many miles around! The High Desert Inn, in Salina, Utah has simple but very effective rooms, immaculately clean and fully functional, at roughly half the price (and superior quality!) compared to most of the local competition (Salina, Delta, Richfield and Green River) and the only motel in this price range with so much class. It's family owned and run, and you kinda feel like you're staying with friends. Pets are welcome (there's a pet fee). Parking is easy. The area is quiet, but very convenient to US 50 (1/3 of a block) and I-70 (perhaps 3 or 4 blocks). We were warmly greeted, even arriving pretty late, and we slept quiet soundly. For those of you that like to stick next to the interstate, this is what you miss when you don’t venture into town. The High Desert In was a gem! Motorcycle friendly, just off the famous Hwy 50 Lincoln Highway (The loneliest Road in America). |Family owned, clean great updated rooms. Park outside of your room motor court style. Great AC quiet. Walking distance to Mom’s Cafe and it’s off the chain. |Gave us rags to clean the Harley’s…. Bottle water in the room.

Positive: Very friendly desk staff. Negative: It’s clear that the motel is a work in progress, but it’s very well maintained. A good price to value ratio.

Was soo pleasantly surprised when we rolled into this place after hours on the road. The property is well cared for, the lot was super clean, cute little doggie area to pee and poop your pets with bags and trash receptacles neatly in place. A little covered area with benches for an out door BBQ if you so choose out of the sun. And the rooms, clean, fresh paint, well kept and cared for, the environment was quiet too. Was such a pleasant nights sleep, just a couple miles off the highway. We could tell they worked hard to keep the place nice .
