Hidden Acres Resort

Our family has used this resort before to rent a pontoon and had an excellent time. However, we tried to rent the pontoon this year and the following happened: We called the evening before and Hidden Acres agreed on $50 for the pontoon. No deposit or prepayment. We tried to call the next morning and got voicemail. We left a message explaining that we were on the way...about noonish. 45 minutes later we arrive. Still no answer. Nobody answering the "office" doorbell. Not a single callback. We bought fishing poles, tackle, jackets...before we left our town. We ended up going to Moon Lake to swim. It was clean and nice there...but we didn't get to go fishing. We could've gone to a much closer lake 5 minutes away. 7:30 pm. Still no callback. Thanks for the Saturday 😒

Do NOT do business with this place. They asked for a second deposit check in their own name and not the business, saying they would send the first one back. Seemed sketchy, but I did it anyway. They then cashed both checks, and won't return phone calls, since then. Am calling local police department to file a theft by fraud complaint.

I have been going to this little gem for 4 years in a row. I love the peace and quiet. The fishing is great. And Lori and Mike are awesome!

Very tranquil. Very basic. Very cabiny. The owners are super friendly and helpful. I had to leave a day early and they had no problem refunding that day. Most places won't do that.

Beautiful & peaceful resort. Free use of pontoon & fishing boats.
