Hickory Grove Cabins

Great place to get away, very secluded and private. Fished all day with variety lures and came up empty handed. Had problems with the fireplace and the wifi was constantly in and out. The cabin had an odor of stale cigarettes. Looked like plenty of room in the hot tub. Beds were comfortable, Great location. The pond fountain got very annoying, couldn't enjoy the sounds of nature. No Keurig, but they do have a coffee pot.

Six of us (4 adults, 2 children) stayed here for Thanksgiving 2011. The cabin is set back from the main road up a gravel drive on a hillside overlooking a small pond. It was nicely furnished and clean. The location was great for exploring the Hocking Hills region and it was especially close to Cantwell Cliffs and Rock House. The only shortcoming was that the kitchen seating was a little cramped for 6 and the pots and pans were pretty banged up. We were preparing a Thanksgiving meal though and definitely pushed it to its limits. Had we been there in the summer we would have taken advantage of the grill and the outdoor seating on the deck. The cabin was wonderful. Everything was as listed in the description. The cabin is convenient to the area trails. The beds were very comfortable. The surroundings were peaceful and wooded. It was relaxing sitting on the porch watching a variety of birds come to the feeders. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub after long days hiking. The fireplace was cozy on cool spring mornings. The porch provided a protective place to sit and watch the rain. We hoped to catch fish but there weren't any fish in the pond in early May. Our family agreed we would stay here again.

The property itself was absolutely stunning but beyond that you could tell that the property was cared about and cared for. It was very obvious that this was a place many families have chosen for a getaway time and time again and believe me, there is reason for that. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a family getaway or as my S/O and I did, an anniversary trip. Plenty of things to do and not too far from any hocking hills attractions. The owner was also very friendly and even sent a kind email afterwards appreciating that we had a great experience. Overall 10/10 !

Wonderful getaway for my wife and I before I deployed again! The cabin was everything we expected and more. Very clean, neat, and instructions were helpful. Watch the video online if you want to. All the ammenities shown are all there, but when you walk in, you are VERY impressed...above and beyond the video. Don't let cold temps keep you away, we stayed in mid December... the hot tub is right there under the front porch (Might as well be considered a full covered deck) and felt incredible. The gas fireplace is AMAZING! Not your standard 3 inch flame, this thing looks and feels like a well built wood fire. Better yet, you get out of bed in the morning and hit a button...whoom, good fire! All of the remote controls are clearly marked for the electronic devices, with a "cheat sheet"
