HI Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel

Loved this. Was one of the best experiences I had. The beds were very comfortable and I want to thank Sprout and Marigold they were very kind and helpful. I would definitely go again. The trails were fun to walk and I loved the view at the point and the seals were very cool to watch. I would love and recommend that you go here. If I come here again I would hope the lighthouse is finished. Thank you for the very fun time at pigeon point Sprout and Marigold.

This is a followup to a previous review and a leadup to the new situation. Right now, the lighthouse is under restoration and one cannot visit it. That is the reason for the four (not five) star rating. In a few months the restoration will be done and this hostel will be back to its deserved five star rating.||Even now, this location is amazing. I stood on the cliff and listened the breakers at night (a bit scary); then I stood on the cliff and watched them (and the many visitors) in the morning. We are all a spectacle: the rocks, the waves, the cormorants, the seagulls, and the tourists. I just don't know where you'd prefer to be, aside from in the heart of The City (as we call it). If you want to experience the California coast for less than a king's ransom, this is your spot.

What an absolutely beautiful location for a hostel! Although our stay was just for one night, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. ​The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable (linens and covers are picked up from the reception upon check-in). The shared kitchen is well-equipped with all necessary appliances and utensils. ​As with any hostel, your stay depends on your fellow travelers. Thankfully, aside from one non-friendly individual, we were lucky to share the space with a lot of cool people. ​The true highlight here is the hot tub! Don't forget to book a slot. Soaking in the hot water while looking over the Pacific Ocean is a magnificent, must-have experience. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a gorgeous sunset from the Jacuzzi, and the night sky on clear evenings is absolute

It is a very cool and relaxing place to sleep and see the waves at the point, sometime there wil be some seals sunbathing on the rocks. The beds are awsome, they are sensory foam and it is very good.

I have never stayed at the hostel so I cannot comment on the rooms, service. But I love the lighthouse & the ocean. The outdoor bathrooms, I could definitely use some attention.
