Hawks Nest Lodge

Had do come here for pick up for our adventure. Had a bit of time and grabbed lunch at the restaurant. Great friendly service, seated within 5 mins, great food selection and very reasonable prices. 2 ppl ate for under $20. Exceptionally friendly and timely service. Will be going back and hope to stay in lodge next visit. Beautiful view of the Gorge from restaurant and the outlook patio.

Beautiful place. The rooms have been recently remodeled. We stayed in the the corner king suite with balcony. The room was clean and quiet. Shout out to the friendly, hardworking cleaning staff! Great views from the balcony and I loved hearing the low train noises from below in the gorge. Only disappointment was the restaurant - beautiful view. Amazing friendly wait staff, horrible food.

We spent 4 days at the Lodge. Very clean, updated room with daily housekeeping. The balcony view over the river was spectacular. They have several outlooks that you can get wonderful pictures from. We ate most meals in the dining room. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. All of the staff we encountered were lovely. The pool was nice and we had it to ourselves.

We stayed at Hawks Nest Lodge for four nights and it was wonderful. The view of The New River Gorge from our suite was amazing, and sitting on our balcony watching the hawks circling above was so relaxing. The staff in the lodge and the restaurant are so obliging and the lodge is very well maintained as are the grounds immaculate. We will hope to return next time we are travelling in West Virginia

A beautiful place! We drive 45 minutes out of our way to stay there coming from NC to KY. Be sure to get a room overlooking the New River Gorge! Over 900 ft deep just over the rail. The dining room also has that view! Is very clean and a unique building! The staff is friendly and helpful!
