Harvest Inn, Dixon/ UC Davis.

This place used to be okay, not fancy, but a decent lower cost place when it was still a super 8. It has seriously become run down and is need of serious reinvestment. I am not sure if this place would pass a health and safety inspection. There are huge cracks on the wall and into the ceiling, as if it survived an earthquake, but no one thought to patch it up. The main door's card reader into the hotel is broken so anyone can come in. The sprinkler head is set into the ceiling such that if was ever triggered by a fire, the water would not spread out into the room, but into the space between the first and 2nd floor. I travel a lot in these hotels for business. I have to say this one's shabby. It really needs an upgrade. The refrigerator in my room hummed and knocked all night. The TV doesn't work well and the picture is wonky. The fixtures in the bathroom squeak and whistle and the radio played static until I unplugged it. It's actually one of the more high priced value hotels. And it really needs an upgrade

Absolutely disgusting. Do not book this hotel under ANY circumstance. Our room was trashed, had ants and cockroaches crawling everywhere, Housekeeping did not come by once in the past 3 nights we have been here, and there were holes in the walls, sheets, blankets, just about everything you can name. Bodily fluid stains on the sheets and mattress, the furniture was not cleaned out so there was hair and dead bugs everywhere, the bathroom still had hair and dead skin on the floor, the carpet was stained and left your feet/socks black after walking on it, and the carpet was pulled up to the wall with food coming out of it. The ac does not work and upon notifying management of this, they simply told us they couldn't help. This hotel is in violation of MULTIPLE health code violations, this is a

So many things wrong with this place: TOTALLY INADEQUATE INTERNET, OLD LINENS STAINED AND FALLING APART, FURNITURE THAT IS FALLING APART, LEAKING DIRTY FIXTURES, SUB PAR AMENITIES (not enough bath linens, washing soap, coffee for standard double occupancy); pics below 1. Leaking water under sink that my husband slipped on (he was able to catch himself on the sink edge but it could have been been really bad as he is 67 yo)- see the pic. 2. When the sink drain was closed, a bunch of stuff (old skin, dirt, who can tell-??? but really gross) came out from under the drain into the bowl. I stayed at Harvest Inn for about 24 days, and overall, it was a smooth and comfortable experience. The hotel is simple, quiet, and had everything I needed for a long stay. What really stood out was the staff, genuinely helpful, kind, and always made sure I was taken care of. They treated me more like family - literally- than just a guest, which made my stay feel even more personal and warm. The location is convenient whether you’re heading to UC Davis or staying in Dixon. It’s peaceful, easy to get to, and away from the noise. Great price, kind people, and a calm atmosphere. I’d gladly stay here again.
