Harris Park

I'd say 4 1/2 stars because everything was great except for how close the sites are. It was challenging to back into our spot especially because someone across the field parked their vehicle in front of their camper reducing the room to maneuver. It is a beautiful well maintained location. The camp hosts are very nice. The flushable toilet bathroom was in good shape but there's only one toilet per women's and men's sides. The river water is obviously very cold but there's shallow areas for kids to play in during July. The playground is nice and maintained. There's a lot of yellow jackets etc but they do have traps up. It's pretty bad when you're eating outside but if you don't have food they aren't around much. The trail washed out 5 years ago and the government won't fix it so there's a

Beautiful well cared for park. No wifi and no cell service. Stayed in RV on the South Fork of Walla Walla River with 30 amps and water. Great level pad with plenty of room. Fire pit on site and connected to large day use area with picnic tables and grills. Only 40 minutes to town on well maintained blacktop. Walla walla wine country only minutes away.

I had the privilege of staying here while my honey and his crew were working in College Place for 6 weeks. This is a beautiful well cared for park is the perfect retreat for recharging your soul. Being next to the river is peaceful, and fishing it is even better. The camp hosts, Chip, Chad, and Pat and her Husband Rob were wonderful people. Chip was so kind to share the history of the area and converse with. Lots of wildlife hanging around. Had the liberty of hanging out with the deer, they enjoy the apple trees in the camp ground. Saw Mama bear and two cubs hanging around the apple trees too.

We spent two nights in our trailer at Harris Park, after first visiting it in 2017. It is a very relaxing, peaceful place, right by the little Walla Walla River. There is not a lot to do nearby, so it is a great place if you just want to chill and enjoy the river and the huge meadow in the campground, and short walks. We saw so many deer and wild turkeys throughout the morning, day, and evening. The river had some dammed up places that would’ve been fun to play at, if I were a kid (Also, a nice playground )😊 Unfortunately, there is no sewer hook up available, just water and electric. The restroom is clean, but no showers and just a one stall bathroom. But it was not busy when we were there during the week, and I never had to wait my turn. I love this trail! There is a campground at the trail head for people that just want to hike in a bit and go back and camp. The trail actually goes for almost 19 miles and winds up back in Washington. I hike and camp this trail. You are close enough to the water that you don't need to pack any. I use my pump filter and get water right out of the Walla Walla river for drinking and cooking. I hike about 6-7 miles in, make camp and eat dinner. I do the same thing on day 2. Day 3 I hike a fair amount of the way back and camp again. Day 4 I hit the parking lot and head back home. This trail is great for hiking, mountain biking or motorcycles. I recommend it for anything you want to do. Perfect for a family that just wants to camp at the trail head and do some trail hiking. Also perfec
