Harrah's Metropolis - A Caesars Rewards Destination

My stay here is always the best! I could never say enough good things about the Host, Mrs. Marlana she is exceptionally great at what she does. She definitely cares about Making sure that I had everything that I needed and went above and beyond to help me. This time I brought my children with me and she has made sure that we did not need for anything and if we did, she definitely took care of it no hesitation. I also have to brag about Miss Rae Me and my kids went down to the steakhouse and they were a bit busy, but she definitely made sure that she squeezed us in and got us a table where we did not have to wait. She also made sure that we got everything we needed not to mention the ribeye is so delicious.

We have stayed here before and it seemed ok. This trip traveling and staying there, on a Mon over Tues, was very disappointing. |Our room was less than comfortable. The,pillows smelled like dirty hair, the mattress pad was ripped and stained (we always do a bed check). The bottom sheet had a stain, the mattress was lumpy, carpeting was filthy! The toilet seat was loose, someone else’s toothpaste splatters on the mirror frame. The gaming area was ok. There is no place to eat breakfast on site. The main restaurant is only open Thursday - Sunday. A vending machine was an option for snacks .

Great stay and food, but missing one key amenity. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the convenience of having a refrigerator in the room. We ate at the on-site restaurant, Bridges, which serves fantastic food with very generous portions. However, we ran into a bit of a snag with our leftovers. Despite having a fridge, there is no microwave in the room or anywhere in the hotel for guest use. It was disappointing to have such great food from Bridges and no way to reheat it the next day. Adding a guest microwave would make this a 5-star experience!

I asked for an ADA accessible room upon booking as I am an ambulatory wheelchair user. The bathtub was very large but not handicapped friendly. This morning there was an emergency alarm going off (false alarm that they didn’t tell us about until after we evacuated) - and we had 4 flights of stairs to go down. No help from staff at all. No word from the staff to think maybe someone who uses a wheelchair and walker staying in an “ADA” room could get a little notification that they don’t need to risk their safety and try to walk down 4 flights of stairs. Housekeeping did not come once during our 3 day stay. Food options are very limited and many places close early or during the week. Don’t waste your money- stay somewhere else and drive over if you want to go to the casino.
