We stayed at the Hardin KOA Journey in Montana this August during our trip from Florida to Yellowstone, and it was a great stop. The location was convenient, and getting into and out of our spot was easy, making RV setup quick and stress‑free. The Wi‑Fi was excellent, and the staff was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The entire campground was very clean and well kept. We would definitely visit again.
My brother and I are on a road trip. We wanted to find a place to stay near the Battle of Little Horn the next day. We called ahead for a cabin and said to pay upon arrival. The owners are super nice. The park is well kept. Bathrooms, shower and laundy room clean. We stayed in a cabin. It too was clean. We enjoyed cooking our dinner and breakfast there. We enjoyed the wood swing with bench across from it on the porch. Inside was a queen bed and a bunk for two more folks. Bring your own bedding. A heater, air conditioner, ceiling fan with light and a table. Outside was a firepit, picnic table and a bar-b-que. We didn't stay in tents but was impressed each tent site has electic available. Each day we spotted the bunny and saw children enjoying the playground.
Sooooo. This may be redundant to the previous reviews. However as of Oct 27th of 2025 , the owners are the key to this park. Yes. Clean, well taken care of, but the owners make every effort to make you feel welcomed, and do almost anything you make think of to be a great host. We think if you're anyway near this park it should be your first option. Michelle n Gregg
Great KOA! Owners are so accomodating, helpful and friendly. For me the most awesome thing was there DOG WASH ROOM! Wow, did my dogs need baths and it is the best set up! These owners have only been here 2 years and they have great vision and are making improvements. That said, the laundry room was great, the pool was great, the store and pizza also great! Thanks guys, our stay was very pleasurable!
This is a great place to stay. The owners were super friendly and accommodating. The dog park is exceptional. It was much bigger than other KOA dog park and it was clean. I would recommend replacing the sheer curtains in the women’s bathroom with something more private as you could look in and see everything when walking by. The men’s restroom did not smell good either.
