Harbor Hill Inn

What can I say? Wow! If you are looking for something authentic and just a fun experience, give Harbor Hill Inn a shot. Ooozing with History and stories the Inn will stay a favorite in our many travels. Jan the owner, was more than accommodating and always made us feel at home. We stayed in the Plymouth Room, which I would guess is the best of the 3 rooms in the house. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom were a plus as well. The shared space is the atrium which was a great place to sit, have our morning coffee and relax. If you are planning on a trip to Pepin, look no farther than the Harbor Hill Inn.

We stayed in the Riverwalk suite and it was very nice! Jan is very helpful and we loved our stay! Wish we could have more time to spend there. Hopefully we will be back.

Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming with info of the area and dining recommendations. Our room was comfortable and had a lovely view of the lake. We also had access to the balcony on the front of the house. What a great spot to relax and watch the light fade on the lake as the sun set. We enjoy the uniqueness of older homes and appreciate the woodwork and glass work. We enjoyed the town of Pepin. The Laura Ingalls Wilder site is what brought us to town, but the beautiful area is worth spending time exploring more.

With each stay at Harbor Hill Inn we discover something new to love! The main house has three guest rooms and each is unique. On our last visit we stayed in the carriage house which is perfect for couples or families with two bedrooms, living/dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen! All the rooms are nicely decorated, with high quality linens! The host Rob and Jan are gracious and love to give guests tips on things to do and see in Pepin! The location couldn't be more perfect, just steps from the center of town. We can't wait for our next visit to beautiful Lake Pepin and another exceptional stay at Harbor Hill Inn!!!

Great location. Historic, charming house. Room rates with tax seem to be somewhat overpriced for Friday/Saturday night stays in March. I could understand these rates in the peak summer months. Website needs to be more transparent about what is included in stay. No shampoo/conditioner provided in shower with stay. Body wash only. Owners recommended Dollar Store in town but that was closed for the evening. Another couple was leaving when we were checking in due to not having a lock on their bigger room with jacuzzi. Safety issues like no locks for certain rooms should be noted on website.
