Happy Trails West Inn

Tropic is a short drive from Bryce Canyon, so we booked at Happy Trails after the Lodge in the NP canceled on short notice. There are 5 rooms here attached to the back of a family home in a quiet neighborhood. Good parking and signage. For 3 of the rooms you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs which could be an issue for some. Room wasn’t ready when we arrived, but situation was handled promptly. Room had everything we needed and bed was comfy. Good value for the money. We ate dinner at Showdown, which we liked and stopped by the local coffee shop before heading out on scenic route 12.

We stayed for two nights. The room was comfortable and clean with a little balcony. We enjoyed the stars at night and the proximity to Bryce Canyon. The owner was responsive and helpful with our late check-in and a coffee maker. Price was reasonable too! It was an enjoyable stay.

We had the bed night of sleep and our baby loved the well kept lawn! The views are beautiful and the stars at night are breathtaking. We enjoyed the fire pit and the staff was friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed and soft sheets. We will definitely book with them again!

Clean room, very comfortable bed with an extra blanket if needed. Exactly the cozy place needed after a day of hiking. Room had a balcony with views. Would stay here again. Bathroom also had toiletry supplies - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand lotion. The inn is in a residential area that is very quiet. Driving to it you feel like you have taken a wrong turn but the paved parking area and large sign let you know you have arrived.

Not too far from Bryce. Room was small but comfortable & clean. However there is no thermostat to control the AC. Got pretty hot & stuffy during the wee hrs resulting in not much sleep. No idea who or where mgmt was.
