I am so grateful for the opportunity to participate in Happy Castle Art Camp’s Super Adobe Dome Building Workshop! They did a great job with such an ambitious first project and they did it!!! The facilities were really great for such a remote and off grid location. They had an amazing chef who catered nutritious meals that were so creative and delicious! We had hot showers! Plenty of water and elecritcity! The toilet was really comfortable considering it was just a hole in the ground with a tent covering it. The dogs were amazing. Especially the large ones that moo’d and had horns aka the cattle. If you like stargazing and watching sunsets and sunrises then you will love Happy Castle Art Camp. I’m excited to go back!! I honestly didn’t want to leave!!!

Happy Castle Art Camp is a work in progress which I had the amazing opportunity of getting to help the camp progress!! You can too, if you attend one of Happy Castle’s FREE Super Adobe Dome Building Workshops. The landscape is breathtaking and magical. The sunrise and sunsets are like none I’ve ever seen with mountains and cows surrounding us everywhere! The desert is full of life with some of the best exploding rocks in the world. I’m excited to see how the project develops and look forward to future builds!! Also this was my first time camping off grid by myself and I did not have to worry because we were well fed and there was plenty of water and a nice shower and plenty of power. I stayed a week but would’ve stayed much longer if I could’ve.

Great place to work. Fantastic views. Diverse wildflowers. See photos of wildflowers on iNaturalist. Stars and night sky are amazing. Google Map directions not accurate. Contact owner for directions and permission to enter private property

They lead a really well put together Superadobe Earthbag Dome building workshop and the vision for the land is truly inspiring. Desert festivals, natural building, cooperative entrepreneurship, collective ownership, etc.. the people these places attract are amazing and I can’t wait to come back and contribute again.
